For God so loved the world, as to give His only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in Him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting. – Saint John the Apostle

Saint John the Apostle Quote

"Saint John the Evangelist" -- by James Tissot - PD-1923

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of life: For the life was manifested; and we have seen and do bear witness, and declare unto you the life eternal, which was with the Father, and hath appeared to us: That which we have seen and have heard, we declare unto you, that you also may have fellowship with us, and our fellowship may be with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you, that you may rejoice, and your joy may be full. And this is the declaration which we have heard from him, and declare unto you: That God is light, and in him there is no darkness.

Saint Paul the Apostle Quote

NOTE: Before beginning today’s post, I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to this blogs readers and subscribers for the erratic postings over the last week or so. Our local telephone company has sold it’s operations to another company which has not fully taken over yet. As a result, technicians hands were tied as they could not order the needed supplies to keep the service maintained and running properly, resulting in several days with no internet service at all. Again, my sincerest apologies to all.

Saint Paul

For which cause I admonish thee, that thou stir up the grace of God which is in thee, by the imposition of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of sobriety. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but labour with the gospel, according to the power of God.

-- Saint Paul the Apostle in his Second Epistle to Saint Timothy 1: 6-8

I lost my job about 4 weeks ago, and just began a new job 10 days ago. The money has not been coming in, but the bills haven't stopped. Any donations are greatly needed and will be greatly appreciated!

Saint Luke the Evangelist Quote

"Saint Luke" -- by James Tissot

Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a narration of the things that have been accomplished among us; According as they have delivered them unto us, who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word: It seemed good to me also, having diligently attained to all things from the beginning, to write to thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,That thou mayest know the verity of those words in which thou hast been instructed.

-- Saint Luke the Evangelist from the Gospel of Saint Luke 1: 1 - 4

Saint Luke the Evangelist

The former treatise I made, O Theophilus, of all things which Jesus began to do and to teach, Until the day on which, giving commandments by the Holy Ghost to the apostles whom he had chosen, he was taken up. To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion, by many proofs, for forty days appearing to them, and speaking of the kingdom of God. And eating together with them, he commanded them, that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but should wait for the promise of the Father, which you have heard (saith he) by my mouth.

-- Saint Luke the Evangelist from The Acts of the Apostles 1: 1 - 4
